Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and SQUAD’r. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your account

You need an account to use SQUAD’r. Keep your sign-in secure and do not share it. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be 13 or older.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse

SQUAD’r lets people share content with each other, so this is not negotiable. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You may not post, forge, upload or send:

• Content that is illegal, or that promotes or facilitates illegal acts.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking, or targeting anyone with abuse.
• Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, age, or sexual orientation.
• Sexually explicit material, or any sexual content involving minors whatsoever.
• Graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying self-harm.
• Content designed to deceive, impersonate another person, or spam other users.
• Anyone's precise location, photo, or personal information shared without their consent.

This applies to every surface in the app: pins, photos, comments, chat, squad and hunt names, display names, and the descriptions you type into the icon generator.

Reporting, blocking and enforcement

Every piece of user content in SQUAD’r can be reported, and every user can be blocked, from directly beside that content in the app. Blocking someone immediately hides their pins, messages, comments and icons from you and hides yours from them.

We review reports and act on objectionable content within 24 hours of a report. Action may include removing the content, removing it from a squad, suspending the account responsible, or permanently banning them from the service. Squad owners may also remove any content or member from their own squad at any time. Accounts that repeatedly violate these terms are terminated.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you create. You grant us the limited licence needed to store your content and show it to the people you shared it with, and nothing more. When you place one of your icons into a squad, that squad receives its own permanent copy so the squad's map keeps working if you later delete yours — this is described in the app before you do it.

Location and real-world safety

SQUAD’r shows approximate device locations and map data that may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. Do not rely on it for navigation, emergencies, or personal safety. You are responsible for your own decisions in the real world, including where you travel and who you share your location with. Never use the app while driving.

Purchases

Some features are paid. Squad Pass raises your daily forge allowance, lifts the icon-locker limit, and unlocks the advanced hunt builder. Credit packs add one-off forge credits that never expire.

Squad Pass renews automatically each month through the App Store until you cancel it. Cancel any time in your App Store subscription settings; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not produce a partial refund for the current period.

Credits are consumable, have no cash value, and are non-refundable once spent. Unspent credits do not expire. All payments are taken by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies — request them through Apple, not through us.

When a Squad Pass lapses, subscription-only benefits end and your allowance and locker return to the free limits. Anything you bought outright stays yours permanently, and nothing you have already created — icons, pins or hunts — is deleted or hidden. Prices are set in US dollars; Apple may display an equivalent in your local currency. We may change the free or subscription allowances, and will give notice in the app when we do.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service, and do not use it to build a competing dataset. Automated scraping is not permitted. We may apply fair-use limits to features that cost money to run, such as icon generation.

Availability

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using SQUAD’r and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, and we do so immediately for content involving minors, credible threats, or illegal activity.

Changes

We will update this page if these terms change. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
